LOCATION AND PLACES OF INTEREST
Belstone is easily accessed from the A30 and the ancient market town of Okehampton is 3 miles away. Directions to The Barton are available on request.

Walking
With walking the most obvious attraction, we have a supply of local maps and guide books to help you plan your walks and make the most of your stay on Dartmoor . You can walk onto the open moor from the house. Belstone's position on the moor means Dartmoor ponies and cattle roam free and are often grazing around the village, so mind them on your way past!

The Granite Way starts in Okehampton.
Riding
For those of you who prefer admire the scenery from the saddle, there are two riding stables in the village, offering a variety of rides across Dartmoor for all abilities.
Eastlake Stables (open all year) and Skaigh Stables are in the village .
Because the village of Belstone is situated in the heart of Devon, it makes an ideal base for visiting the West Country's other attractions.
